KEC - Entrepreneurship Development Cell – (EDC)

To achieve our vision of producing versatile professionals, we established Entrepreneurship Development Cell in our campus.

The main objective is to provide amicable ambience and centre for learning which will result in developing more employers rather than employees.

Objectives:

To develop 4 D’s, key characteristics required in an entrepreneur, such as

  • Desire
  • Drive
  • Discipline
  • Determination

To act as an institutional mechanism for promoting S&T based enterprises thereby promote employment opportunities.

Modus Operanti:

ED Cell activities are to be organized by the coordinator with the assistance of ED Cell members (faculty members representing each department).

Activities:

The main activities of ED Cell are:

1. Organizing several Entrepreneurship Awareness Campus and Entrepreneurship Development Programmes to achieve our objective

2 .Guiding and assisting prospective entrepreneurs in

  • Preparing business plan / project reports
  • Acquiring project approvals
  • Getting loans and
  • Providing information on institutional supports

3. Bridging to our campus successful Entrepreneurs for sharing their experience with the prospective entrepreneurs.

4. Motivating prospective entrepreneurs to participate in several nationwide entrepreneurial competitions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities of ED Cell members are as follows:

  • Motivate students to pursue Entrepreneurship as their career
  • To motivate, support and mentor students for identification and development of their innovative ideas.
  • To organize business plan competitions which involvement of industry
  • To guide and assist prospective entrepreneurs on various aspects as preparing project reports and obtaining loans etc.
  • To arrange interaction with diverse entrepreneur and financial institutions.
  • Make their students to be present in all the activities and programmes of ED Cell.
